Prospect Magazine: Finding Religion

The author describes a path he has taken from strict scientific thinking eschewing all religion to finding religion and attending church regularly. His path is one I feel that I am on as well though I am nowhere near the attending church part.

I’ve long felt that the only real difference between the “atheist” point of view (viewing the world through science and “rationality”) and the religious point of view (viewing the world through God and, to a lesser extend, science) as being two sides of the same coin. It’s all metaphor and language.

I actually can be quite eloquent on this point and if you buy me a beer I’ll talk your ear off about it. But it’s late and I’m tired. Read the article. It starts to get at my own belief system.
