Thanksgiving

We had a nice little family Thanksgiving last night. We realized that this was the first time that we’d been alone for Thanksgiving. Every year we either went to family or had family or friends come to us. Last night it was just the three of us. Not much to report. It was a very relaxing day. Ann slept in and I hung out with Jack during the morning. In the afternoon, while cooking the bird, I watched a bunch of the documentaries on the Extended Two Towers DVD set. At night, we put Jack to bed relatively early and we sat by the fireplace and watched Strictly Ballroom, which I’d gotten Ann on DVD for Valentine’s day but we never actually watched. (I mean, we’d seen it before, it’s her favorite movie, we’d just not watched it since we got it).

Generation Gap

We’re all sitting here watching the Emmy’s and they show one nomination which includes, among others, Robin Williams. My 10-year-old neice looks at him and says “It’s the guy from Flubber!”

I suddenly felt my age come crashing down upon me…
