Fathers Day

I was never one for the greeting-card-industry-created holidays. But now that I’m a father, I rather like the idea of a day all for me. Not that I tend to do anything with it. I’d asked Ann to let me sleep in today but after she left the room to go get Jack out of bed, I decided I didn’t actually want to hang out in bed so I got up anyway. We spent the bulk of the day up in Leesburg being tourists, eating in the local places and shopping in the local stores and getting Jack ice cream. I took pictures. It was nice. We came home and had some neighbors/friends over for dinner and that was nice too. All in all, it was a nice day. Now I’m tired and am off to sleep. Well, first I need to read a little more David Brin. I’m hooked on the Uplift series.
